Earth Works highlights the vital yet overlooked power of soil. While essential for our wellbeing and climate stability, soil is currently facing a serious health crisis.

In several artworks within this series, I have crafted sculptural vases made from soil. By making soil the central subject, I shift the focus from decorative ornament to the material itself. Exposed roots adorn these vessels, revealing the hidden underground networks that store carbon and sustain life.

The work also features elements degraded soil and lifeless plants to show the fragile balance between human activity and nature. Earth Works asks you to reconsider the ground beneath your feet, recognising soil as a living force that supports all life.
