Last spring I noticed a white flowering plant outside my house and later discovered it was Honesty. I watched it through the seasons and, in winter, brought a few dried stems into my studio.
I was drawn to the simple shapes and the way the light shone through the delicate, transparent seed pods, revealing their subtle detail. Of all the images in the Plant Portrait series, I find this one the most calming.
